> Windows 10 Creators Update Gradually Being Rolled Out

July 17, 2017 2:11 pm

Slowly but surely, Microsoft is gradually rolling out the latest version of Windows 10 operating system, Creators Update. Microsoft wants everyone to install the latest version as it includes numerous security fixes, which helps PCs and laptops become less prone to malware attacks. It is Microsoft’s most secure O/S, and provides additional protection against ransomware.

When it was first released a few months ago, there were a few bugs identified, causing Bluetooth connectivity problems for a small number of users. Those issues are being addressed, and affected users are not being offered the Creators Update.

On the surface, users will see little change in the user interface when compared to their current version of Windows 10. In addition to security updates, Microsoft added Night light functuntionality which reduces blue light glare at night, helping with eye strain and sleep issues. They also added the capability to create 3D and mixed reality content with Windows, and increased active hours from 12 to 18 hours.

Depending upon your Internet download speed, as well as the speed of your computer, it can take several hours to install this update. Once installed, you will want to review privacy and other settings. Feel free to contact Esser Consulting for help or to perform the upgrade for you.
